Cinnamon, that's interesting, gonna look in to that. I do know some insects do not like lavender, my wife studies aromatherapy & she mixes up a lavender cream, this has been tried & tested in the Far East by herself & others she has travelled with & it stops the mosquitos biting. However you don't want all insects to be repelled from your plants.
I just bought a lavender. I googled what it might be helpful for, - other being beautiful and attracting bees, and I read it confuses all types of aphids. Unexpected result

This doesn't apply only to the male whiteflies

I know marigolds deter white fly so the principle could be more than valid.
I read (possibly on here) that insects don't like cinnamon, maybe the smell is too much for them

, the oil (not applied neat!!) speeds up healing cuts.
