Yellow peppers?

I bought a yellow pepper ages ago and planted it nervously - it has (to my astonishment) flowered and flourished. However, the pepper on it is green not yellow - is this normal - or have I got one with the wrong label on it? Never ever grown these before, very proud of the pepper, it is huge and looks like more to come, but certainly not yellow - yet.Be very grateful for any advice.

Sounds as though it has some way to go. It will turn yellow when it is fully grown and ripe.

Thank you, won't eat it just yet then.

They all start off green then turn to their colour
