Could you put a piccy on, click on the tree icon then follow directions,
I think it is a type of lichen. Is it in your pots or in the garden?
I have put everything on it its in the hanging baskets, planters, block paving its everywhere, just when i think its gone its back but spreading faster.
Does anyone know how to get rid of it,only had it in the garden last 2 years,i have never seen this before and always been a gardener,
I think it is liverwort. I have it in some damp and shady places in the garden and I would be interested in hearing how to get rid of it apart from digging up.
The RHS says this about them:-

Thank you for your messages.
I agree, give it some space. Improve the drainage so things aren't so wet

Thanks everyone i will give it some space.many thanks Ros
I don't know where you live Ros but this area has been incredibly wet for a year or more now. Mosses and liverworts are having a great time. These things have their moment and then disappear and something else comes to the fore.
