readers experience of different fertilisers

I could be making a toxic stew after recovering seaweed and dried out cow pats from the land grazed on next to a beach and left a bucket ful of both in gallons of water. Any advice on sourcing fertiliser for my allotment? haven't used it yet but I just used seaweed last year and thought i might 'double-up' and use both. Can anyone see problems?
