Anybody know anything about cucamelons?
I am a novice gardener, this being my second year growing and my first year with a greenhouse. I have successfully grown tomatoes and this year have grown my first cucumbers, all tickety boo there. I thought I'd try some cucamelon plants and although they have grown, flowered and little fruits formed, these are dropping off when you touch the plant. I thought they might not have been pollinated as the flowers are very small and there are many more other flower for the bees to get to, but i'm not sure. Can anyone give me more detailed instructions or help please?

We had an earlier thread about these - it may be helpful

Thanks Dovefromabove. I've read through these and it looks like a lot of folk are having problems with them. I think I'll try taking the growing tips out and see if that helps. I've got two in the greenhouse and one outside. The one outside is in full sun but isn't anywhere near as big and the ones indoors though.
remember that if you don't get any this year that cucamelons are a tender perennial, so keep them warm over winter and you'll get a bigger plant next year!
Thanks Treehugger80 i'll do that. First year with a greenhouse and i've a feeling it will be as full through the winter as it is now in summer.
