Lupins from seed

124»

Posts

  • I have kept lots of ripened seeds from my lupins and planted them in small trays and put them on my windowsill . The seeds are germinating sporadically but the ones that do germinate  get to the first two leaf stage then they wilt and die off ,any ideas as to why this is happening.

    Thanks

  • I make homemade Lupini Beans and wonder if they come from the common Lupin plant?  Are these annual or perennial of lupin?

I bought some Lupin plants from the garden centre, the deer found them and ate most of the flowers. The ones which survived have seeded, some have fallen to the ground already. So I'm going to try and grow them from seeds, I have some wonderful sheep poo compost, a never ending supply.

Something is eating my lupin seed pods which are still green. they are not eating the rest of the plant just the seed pods which look like they have been sheared off. What is this?

  • when to plant lupin seeds in pots for replanting
