Flowers on the beach
Hi guys, I was walking along down on the beach earlier and noticed a cluster of little flowers on the sand. They're very pretty and look to be some sort of succulent. It's quite an extreme environment they are living in, they weren't on a dune or anything, just on the dry sand and they seem happy enough. Any idea what they are?

..I think it might be Sea Rocket [Cakile maritima]... it's an annual... whatever..it's quite pretty isn't it..?
I agree Salino - Sea Rocket.
There are quite a few specialist plants that grow on beaches, but they are getting rarer and rarer - it's lovely to find the quieter beaches where they can grow undisturbed

Beautiful.......I wish I could swap Blackpool beach for Christchurch or even Bournemouth beach
You wouldn't get that growing in Blackpool!!!
i didnt see any flowers ion beach in cornwall but lots of ,llovely wildflowers on cliffs and headlands, and loads of beautiful dianthus all around the outdoor swimming pool where we stayed, smelled divine
There is some gorgeous flowers in Cornwall Rosemummy isn't there? That's where I discovered Agapanthus
Thanks for the ID! They weren't on a particularly quiet beach, just a bit further down from the main hoi polloi, so I was a bit surprised to see them there. Nature always finds a way to survive, even with humans around playing frisby.
Just read my terrible grammar....there is??? There are!!!
Chuckle!!!
