Here is a page of pink roses from David Austin, so you see identifying, even with a photo, is difficult. http://www.davidaustinroses.co.uk/american/searchlist.asp Sorry, had a look and all the pink roses that were on that page have gone, don't know how to delete reply.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Ta Dove. I see others have given on alternatives so superfluous anyway. But I thought I'd give the correction in case anyone interested. I bought 14 roses from there in the winter. All doing very well. I liked their search engine so may be of use to G Deadhead.
I have no catalogues handy, so please excuse any spelling mistakes I may make. One rose that came to mind was an older one Zepherine Druid. This can be grown as a climber or as a column, it too has a wonderful scent, and is bright pink.. Try to find a picture it may be of help.
Zephirine Drouhin is a climber, very perfumed, almost thornless, bright pink, lots of flowers, will grow in shade, but can be prone to disease.
Pictured is Constance Spry, but I don't know where it will turn up in this post!
The rose with the strongest perfume in my garden is Constance Spry which David Austin bred and he uses as a parent to breed in perfume for many of his roses. But it only flowers once and is quite prickly. Mine is a large shrub, about 1m60, but it can be grown as a small climber.
