Leggy Violas
Hello, please can anybody help me? I had some beautiful violas in a pot I keep them deadheaded and watered regularly. They looked so healthy like a big bush of yellow heads. The next day they had fallen down leaving a hole in the middle they are really leggy and look awful. Can I bring them back? Any advice welcome. Worried, West Yorkshire

I regard violas as a winter plant. They do tend to get leggy in the summer.
At this time of year I'd cut them hard back and re-pot.
You can use some of the material you cut off as cuttings to increase the number of plants you have http://www.gardenhealth.com/august/viola-cuttings-for-winterspring-displays
Good luck
