Black currant bushes
Hi everyone, I know that you all can help me, I followed the instructions in the gardeners world magazine to cut the thickness stems out, what I need help on is that I have branches which are falling over onto the ground. Should I cut them back or do I just need to tie the stems together. I have had a fantastic crop this year approx 10lb I weight of berries. Thanks for any advice you can give me

Hi Edd I have taken the fruit off, but because it was so heavy the branches are now touching the ground. Is it likely to spring back or as per Verdun need to chp it back? These bushes I have to admit have not been touched for at least ten years
talking about blackcurrants, mine have maggots in the fruit. anyone else had this problem, and what can i do to prevent it next year? i have young children so don't really want to use pesticides.
