Blackspot!
Have two well established climbing roses - had slight blackspot last year but now they are both completely enveloped in blackspot. Sprayed them a couple of times with Rose Clear but this doesn't seem to have made any difference. Am so reluctant to cut them down in the autumn and let them start again but - is this the only answer?
Another rose bed very near to the climbing roses, started off in the spring looking very healthy and loads of flowers. But - these too are losing their leaves due to serious blackspot problems. Again, have sprayed with Rose Clear - but this doesn't seem to have helped.
Any advice would be so helpful.

Hello, found the following link below which may be of some use to you:

I find Pat that picking off all the leaves affected and burning them before treating with fungicide is better than just spraying. I also spray the ground around the roses as well then feed and keep well watered at the roots. They look very bare afterwards, but new leaves come back within 2 weeks and if there is any sign of new infection I go through the same process again, it works for me and in some of my customers gardens. They do think I'm mad spending ages picking off leaves but the results are usually the same fresh new growth with little sign of disease.
