Acer Griseum problem

Two Weeks ago I planted an Acer Griseum Sapling aprox 1.5 m tall it looked very healthy. I dug in well rotted manure and staked it so there is no root wobble my soil is clay like. The leaves started to turn a pinkish buff, but are not dry. I am worried that the leaves turn brown and it dies. Do I have a problem?

    Hi Paul,

    Acer griseum loves it's soil to be slightly acidic, well-drained and with lots of humus. Many clay soils are too alkaline and very compacted so that could become a problem. Maybe a photo can enlighten us?
