Can anyone identify these roots / bulbs?

I'm digging a more neglected area of the garden and have found several handfuls if these.., erm things.

Can anyone tell me what they might be from?

Thanks! There's quite a lot of that in the garden already with yellow flowers (bet I didn't take a photo!) So this little lot will be destined for the recycling unless its viable to plant as is to grow on at friends / family / anyone who wants it?

image That wouldn't surprise me Welsh. Everything already established in this garden is of the "almost a weed" variety. Still at least this one looks nice!
