bougainvillea problems

Being new to gardening in Spain I am learning from lots of mistakes!! My most recent problem is with one of my bougainvillea (I have around 20 most of which are fine). This one has been beautiful full of purple flowers, however over the last week the bracts have started to turn brown. It is a very well established plant with a thick trunk growing against a wall which another 8 are also growing happily. Not sure if to cut it back or if it will recover and flower again? I am sure it was fine this time last year when we first saw the house

Has it been watered.?
If it is not too dry, then I would just deadhead it. If you cut all the flowered area off, new shoots should then reflower.
A feed of something with high potash (tomato food or similar) might help reflowering.
