new flower spikes on verbascum?

I have several verbascum chiaxi album, the flower spikes are pretty faded now so I'm cutting them back. Do they throw up new spikes after pruning?

I think you only get one spike per rosette, but they are often branched.  Some foxgloves do this. I just cut off the flowered bit, and let the side shoots flower. I dont think you will get a new spike from the bottom this year.

I don't deadhead verbascums because mine grow side shoots from lower down on the flower stem - I'd hate to cut them off - and  I also think they look better with the old flower spike still on while the side shoots are flowering.
