Cathkev not sure if you mean making it or storing it ,on the allotment i made it in a 40 gallon drum almost full of water ,the comfry and nettles  were kept in a pillow protector put into the drum and weighted down with a brick then  when it was ready 4/5 weeks i could just pull it out and empty it ,wash it and use again, , then bottled it leaving a space in the bottles to expand.easyimage

    Love it...nothing goes to waste.
  • I made two large bins of nettle feed early this year and find it to be a cheap feed which I will be making again this year recommend it to any one to try. john.

Hi John,iv just move house and luckily we have Comfry patches (controlled ) iv no nettles now but the Comfry is a little bit better for the fruit and flowers side of food due to a little more potash in it,  when i used nettle feed only I needed to reduce the Nitrogen a bit so as not to get to much leafy growth but couldn't so I  bought some soluble potash and added in late April to encourage more fruit or flowers it worked and the potash was cheap and  one box will last for ages,Good luck John

Hi, this year when we first arrived at our new place , i had nothing for food so i just did an overall weed feed ,it  stank just as much as Nettle and the plants did really well ,dont know what kind of NPK it had but the plants just loved it.
