Hi Mandi and welcome to the forum, I'm quite new to gardening too and not very good at IDing plants but everyone else is so you'll soon be sorted image You'll learn loads on here, far more than from books in my opinion, I've learnt loads this year image

  • Took some pictures this morning of the whole garden ...

It's a lovely garden Mandi image

  • It's a scary garden at the moment as I have very little knowledge on gardening and plants ...image We have tried growing potatoes and had a load of blasted snails eat most of the leaves ... We have a greenhouse too but the apple tree and whatever is growing at the back doesn't let in much light at the moment ... I am committed to the cause though as have just today bought a garden planner (diary type book)

Oh Mandi, youve fallen on your feet with that one image

Why not post a pic of anything you intend to prune, weed etc and the guys on here will guide you through it, if you get two versions of doing something dont worry, they will both work, just pick whichever suits you best! image

Really excited for you, happy new garden! image
  • I was thinking of using one side of the garden to make a raised bed and have a kind of small veg patch like the idea of growing our own vegetables but not sure how hard a raised bed is to build?

It really depends what you want to make it from and how much you want to spend! Strangely enough it seems the more you spend, the easier it is! image
