ID for large flowering plant, please.

These plants were put in our communal garden by a neighbour who has now moved. I've seen them in other gardens but have not been able to identify them. I'm sure someone here will know exactly what they are.

The first has long and lanceolate leaves, similar to a yucca. The flowers as you can see emerge bunched on long stems. The second appears to be some kind of sedum and produced green/yellow flowers in small, tight and low growing bunches in early spring.

Thanks pansyface, spot on with the spelling, too. I know I'm pushing it a bit with the sedum, especially as it isn't in flower anymore. But that's another plant ID'ed!

    Has the sedum flowered already?

Bump! Sorry for the late reply forester2, but I did mention in the OP that it had already flowered and had yellow/green flowers. They were in small clusters.

Anyone else any ideas on this sedum?

Its common name is Stonecrop.   If it's leaves turn reddish in winter it is probably sedum sexangulare.
