What is this plant?
in Plants
This plant appeared this year for the first time I think (as I've never noticed it before). Not sure if it's a weed but it's very pretty. Does anyone know what it is?
Would really appreciate some insight!

Ooooh- it's everywhere on the site at the mo- linaria purpurea
Thank you Victoria
I first joined this group a year ago with exactly the same question. The purple toadflax is so pretty and I saved the seed to grow it again this year. It pulls out easily if you don't want to keep it.
I acquired mine from my sister's garden as I like them too- and so do the bees.
I bought what I thought was the yellow one from a wildflower plug place but it has turned out to be the pink one.
I think they probably got blown in from my neighbours garden whilst seed. Love it when that happens
The bees love this plant, so I encourage it in my garden.
They are lovely, I started with just one that had seeded itself and now they are everywhere. Isn't nature just so generous.
