Yes, houseplantgirl and artjak, the leaves of the yellow plant feels waxy. But the leaves of the croton plant seems much bigger this plant. It is no taller than 40cm in height. Perhaps a croton relative?

Houseplantgirl; you may be right, the plant reminds me of ones I have seen in Barbados and they have a lot of croton type plants there.
