Can this be used as a general plant food, or only for tomatoes?  And are there any plants it must not be used on, like roses ? thankyou image

Fertilisers designed for tomatoes will contain the nutrients that encourage flowering and fruiting so can be used on plants that you want to flower shortly.

It's not a good idea to use them on young plants that are still in early growth, or on foliage plants or leafy vegetables.

Totally agree Verdun, soft lush growth only leads to problems with slugs, snails and fungal infections image

  • I has the same question, however if you are feeding pots with summer annuals in them, how often would you feed with tomato feed?
  • That's great! Do you get better flowering with tomato feed rather than miracle grow. I find miracle grow turns some plans into monsters and they never flower such as cosmos
