Lesley, those things could survive a nuclear winter! I would put the yellow flag in any old pot and fill with gravel or stones, beware, it will bust out of the pot at some point, so check it this time next year! The sibirica was just kind of planted in the soggy bit at the side of the pond, but grew into the pond too, so will need a bit of soil, and wet feet, its up to you if you use a pot
I could only do a winter like that from indoors with a roaring fire and a drop of summat to keep the cold out, as my nan used to say! You lot are made of strong stuff!
This thread moves so quickly I didn't even see you'd all replied to me! I'll take anything really As for seeds I'll take a looksee in my 'inventory' for duplicates. I've some stamps lying around anyway...
Probably nothing that will excite you experienced lot!
I have some echinacea, and I will have some sweet peas, that sort of appeared in my garden this year for some unknown reason, I didn't plant them! But the bees liked them! I think I have some black petunia seeds ready, along with some dahlias coming along, they aren't fancy, but bee friendly it seemed as there's always one in them, they sort of look like raspberry ripple in colour!
I guess at this moment, on my wish list are sedum cuttings, I posted earlier in the week how I wanted to set up a terrium or however you blimmin spell it, not found one but I did find a large glass dome which will do the job nicely. I'm not sure how you'd post cuttings though!

Lyn and bekkie - thanks so much for the seeds and plants that have just arrived
All I need is advice now (oh here she goes they groan).
Do I wait till spring to sow the lychnis Lyn or could I do it now and keep on a windowsill?
What about the iris bekkie. Should I just plant out or pot them up and put them somewhere sheltered over winter?
Hope your Mum is doing OK Lyn - you sound so busy.
My Lychnis has arrived thank you Lyn.
