    I find most seeds still germinate pretty well even way past their date, so long as they've been stored well. Nothing to lose trying anyway.

    I've got some nasturtium - didn't know it was a green manure. Will sow those then!
    Some phacelia would be great to try too, thanks.

    I'm in Wiltshire, so if not local perhaps we could swap by post. Hopefully you'll see something you fancy in my list. Here are the seeds I already have:

    flowers:
    * Sunflower - packet open, couple years old.
    * Sunflower, self collected (Jumbo Jim and friends). Lots.
    * Nicotiana, "roulette mixed f2" this is a compact dwarf one, different colors. Unopened. sow by 2011.
    * Primula, couple years old. Self collected.
    * Not sure on name. Nice green foliage with downward pointing purple flowers that the bees like.
    * tulip seeds, self collected. From big white flowers. Be interested in a bulb back in the future if anyone takes this on and gets results.
    * Polemodrium, collected 2007
    * Dwarf Dalia, self collected, very nice. Lots.
    * Purple aquiligia

    veg:
    * lettuce, sow by 2006. open
    * sorrel, sow by 2006. unopened.
    * tomato "gardener's delight" opened. Sow by 6/2004
    * tomato "gardener's delight" unopened. Sow by 6/2004
    * pumpkin, "Oz". sow by 2005. open
    * sweet bazil, open, several years old.
    * salad mix, open, few years old.
    * pepper (hot) super chilli f1 - couple years old opened.

    Bekkie, I live in Worcester, so not a million miles away, but I'm also happy to receive things by post. I have a fair few 'mystery' bulbs that I don't see me using too much, dahlia, anemone's, rhanunculus (sp?) they were the patio bulb sets you get from wilkinsons for a few pounds, we planted a few and they've all come up. The anemone's are something else! A new favourite.

    I have a lot of seeds too, some we might not ever grow, all still in date! Mainly veg, but some flowers such as morning glory.

    Right now I wouldn't want anyone to see my garden! There seems to be an awful lot of death and decay at the moment!

    I have taken photo's of the perenials I will be splitting and rooting later.

    I dont find basil does well once opened for too long, and definitely not parsnips.

    I will have a gorgeous yellow aquilegia, direct from the Eden project, somehow a seed head just fell into my bag as I walked passed it!
