..I expect there are quite a few listed on the other thread that are open to the public... which area of the country are you in then...?

I live in Southend, Essex and use my local GC (Morleys) which is very good but I wish they would arranged their plants alphabetically.Could save a lot of time and money (lol)

So many different views on Mailorder that its put me right off.

    Thanks for your responses

Seems that I am resurrecting this thread judging by the last input's date. I ordered some plug plants through Amazon - not something that I would normally do as most plugs in the past have been dry and dead/almost dead on arrival. However despite having been in the post office all w/end, when I eventually received them they were in great shape and all had good roots, no tea bags to restrict them & I am hoping that all 5 (Geum) will grow & thrive. They were supplied by Swanley Village Nursery - does anyone know of this nursery?

I think that eBay and Amazon are quite strict with their sellers, so everything should be up to standard as it them that have to give the money back, and without question.

I haven't bought plugs but I have bought shrubs and they were fantastic, 12 for £20.00, I expected small bare roots, but they were well grown.

i have just had these delivered from J. Parker, large flowering Bacopa, didn't sow seeds this year, forgot, so treated myself. They come in much deeper plug trays than most so I can use those again. Very pleased.

Just to add to above, they cost £17.00 for 66 plants and the free fuchsias and lily bulbs were beautiful.

    sorry, edit doesn't work?
