Majorie plum tree
I have a Majorie plum tree about four years old which has suddenly developed a problem of leaves culing and dying and also the fruit turning yellow/red and dropping.
Several weeks ago I noticed aphids on the back of the leaves and sprayed immediately with an appropriate product. I have been removing the dead leaves and fruit on a regular basis but the problem continues, the branches are showing no signs of decease. I have posted two photos to showthe problem as I can't find anything that shows the same symptoms. I hope someone can throw some light on this for me.
Thanks
Dennis

Curling leaves seems to be a common problem this year, aphids are the cause.
plums falling off is also common, known as June drop, the tree is shedding excess fruit it can't manage, if your trees are heavily laden it's advisable to remove some anyway, to stop weight damaging the branches and then the remaining fruit can grow bigger and sweeter.
Many thanks pansyface and Netherfield for your replies, you confirm what I thought
may be the problem, I'll be more vigilant in the future.
