Could anyone help with identifying this plant for me?

I acquired it off a family friend but they couldn't tell me anything about it. image

Could it be a pieris? Small white flowers in spring?

Looks like a pieris to me.  Just been down the garden and the leaves on mine are exactly the same.  Unfortunately I can't tell which variety.  Lovely plant to haveimage

Ice Twin, I've got mine in a tub of ericaceous compost in full sun but mine doesn't look very cheerful and is trying to revert away from variegation...hopefully someone else can give you some better infoimage

Maybe it doesn't like full sun Victoria.  I think they prefer a semi shady position.  At least mine seems to be doing Ok there.  The sun bleaches out the variegation I think.  We'll wait for the expertsimage
