    I agree that close planting will keep most weeds away - you should see my Shady Bank - talk about hugger mugger! - but I find that couch grass will wangle and weave it's way in anywhere, even if there's no light and no space!

    I agree with various people above, plant closely and keep an eye on the ground in spring; pull out weeds then and by summer there is no room for the little b....simage
