Can you grow Garlic in plant pots ? As Im trying it for the first time. I have a clove in a 7inch pot the leaves are about 24inch long can you help me please.

    I agree with Phillipa, I grow garlic in containers using a mix of multi purpose compost and Sharp sand  about 20% sand , keep them fairly well spaced and weed free ,  feed with a liqiud feriliser every 3 weeks or so once they are well established and growing well.

    Last year I put some garlic in the ground, others in pots (since ground space was rather limited). Both grew really well and I think with them drying away at the moment you really can't tell the difference in size. Perhaps had we had a dryer year it might be different!
