sweet pea problem

Can anyone help? I grow sweet peas well every year but this year disaster. Leaves going brown and fading from bottom up. Then shrivelling and falling off. Stems also withering from bottom. Tall healthy plants with lots of flowers so far but think may lose them all. live in Devon..weather been hot last week or so and not too wet prior to that. Any thoughts p,ease?

I am also in Devon, had similar problem, I think its been to hot they need gallons of water, thats all. Rain, heavy and thunder due for the next unforseeable future, they will be ok then.

plenty of food and water is all they need. image

I always get some leaf miner damage at the bottom but they still grow and flower without any problem.
