what to do about offers that dont offer

Erica68Erica68 Posts: 65

Earlier this year I saw an offer of plugs in my GW magazine and I sent off for these immediately. Nothing!

I also decided to try a subscription to GW and took up an offer of a free pair of secateurs. Nothing!

Can anyone tell me how to deal with this please.

I sent off for the 'free' tomatoes and chillies in March.  They arrived in April - and the tomatoes were all completely dried out.  However, that was probably more due to their being left on a desk in the office for three weeks before anyone told me they'd arrived!  The chillies were just about hanging on and are now thriving).

    Thanks for the quick responses.

I cant help thinking that the speed at which people have responded reflects shabbiness on the part of who ever arranges these offers.

I think this is a bit mean as people like me who are new to gardening are getting taken for granted.

But I will also say that this forum is great thanks to gardeners! I search for answers to my problems and if I cannot find an answer I post my problem and then get loads of helpful responses. Great!

I'm afraid the speed at which we respond normally is more reflective of which bit of work we're trying to avoid.

  • Dear Erica,

We operate despatch 'windows' for our live plants, which is often a month or so ahead to allow time for the plants to grow. They're then sent to you at the correct time for planting. Our despatch times are given in the magazine advert, as well as online prior to purchase.

The best way to get help with your queries is to contact us. You'll find contact details for our relevant departments here on our website: http://www.gardenersworld.com/contact-us/ - we're happy to help if you ever have any queries or questions.

Regarding your plant query, if you would like to email us at [email protected] we will be able to track your order straight away for you. It's likely to be on it's way. Alternatively, you can cancel and we will process a refund for you.

    Best wishes,

    Gardeners' World offers team
