Woodlice are eating my strawberries

    This question is four years old. But some experienced regulars on the forum hold that woodlice do indeed eat live crops and destroy a gardener's plants.

    Maybe there are different kinds of woedlice. mine don't eat plants but some gardeners insist that they do.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

    I lost at least half of my strawberries this year to woodlice. So many, that I am removing all strawberries from my raised bed and will grow then in hanging baskets and window boxes only. I have more strawberries in a normal bed and there I am trying the quantity approach (growing enough so they can't eat them all).
    They are certainly the number 1 strawberry eater in my garden and they don't do any other harm, just the strawberries.
