As a scientist this rang a few alarm bells for me. I don't know anything about safe concentrations of oxalic acid and I'm not saying that rhubarb insecticide isn't perfectly safe but a quick google produced this article which does give food for thought.
Glad to see your like me, i use the same method and have been doing so for the past 7 /8 years it has worked fine, never killed or burnt a plant and i use it at 4/5 drop per litre of water (cold) shake it up to mix it together then spray away do not forget
to do both side of the leave to start with twice a week for 2/3 weeks and only once a week there after
