Thinning Cannon Hall grapes

Does anyone have any knowledge of thinning Cannon Hall Grapes. We have an old vine which we pruned quite hard in early spring and we have an abundance of bunches forming. We have received conflicting advice as how best to thin them - does anyone have any first hand experience to help us please.
