Overgrown Garden in France

We bought a house in France in February and unfortunately were not able to move in until late April - by which time Spring had sprung and the garden had got a bit wild. It is well stocked and beautifully planned out, but with the super weather, rain and shine, it has definitely got away from me. If anyone fancies a weeks holiday in beautiful France, in a lovely converted barn, all rooms are ensuite, free food and wine, all I want in return is a bit of hard labour in returning flower beds to original glory and probably a lot of pruning, advice and plant identification, Failing that advice on here on where on earth to start!!!

Fifty!!!  Nowt but a spring chicken m'lass - you're just not used to it -  all you need is a hot bath and a glass of something alchofrolic at the end of the day image

We are in between St Yrieix La Perche and Payzac (officially the Dordogne, but only just). Limoge is our nearest big town, about 45 mins north and Perigeux is about an hour south.Getting used to the fast pace of growth here is difficult, everything seems to double in size overnight, just when you think you are getting somewhere. Love being in the garden all day but seems to be such slow progress.

hello again, let me know if you would like a hand. Not very experienced and learn most gardening tips from the internet but enjoy the "graft" of gardening.

I live in Béziers in the Languedoc but wouldn't mind driving up for a few days for a change. Let me know via messages if you are interested.

Sounds great, if I didn't have family commitments I'd be there too. Look forward to 'work in progress' pics
