leylandii

My neighbour has just cut the tops of my leylandii conifers which are about 5ft 10 without asking permission. She thinks she has a right to cut them, but I thought that they could grow to 6ft 6 before I needed to cut them and she should have asked me first? any ideas?

She has the right to cut off anything crossing the boundary  and over her land. If they were overhanging then she can cut them off . She has no right to cross into your land to cut your hedge.

She has no right to cut anything over your boundary, but in truth she has saved you the trouble of doing it.
