Everywhere you look there are the most marvellous views and their containers are the best I've ever seen.

I found this area fascinating; Mediteranean / desert planting

Wonderful pics Artjak - i have never been there at the right time to see the meadows in their full glory - absolutely spectacularimage  Can you imagine having that (and all the rest of it for that matter) outside your back door.  The gravel garden is pretty special too.

and what a happy lot you all lookimageimageimageimageimage - lovely

Lovely pix! I particularly love the structural stuff, vistas and 'windows' and topiary etc as it's my favourite sort of thing. That gated entrance in the wall you posted yesterday is stunning artjac -sets off the planting and gives it so much more impact than if it was just an ordinary gateway. Quality never goes out of date  image

Panda - your little legs coped very well with all that walking round - hope you didn't nibble too much of that bamboo  image

Did you all have an ice cream for me? I did arrange the good weather specially for you after all....imageimage

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

That's right, thought Clary when I saw photo, then Nut said it. Glad you all had a good day. Thank you all for the lovely photos. Wish I could have joined you.

We are going to North Yorkshire on Saturday, to see old school friend and uncle. Won't have internet. Oh, forgot, this is Old Vicarage, not Hello Forkers!

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
