Hi New Here, an You Help With An ID?
Hi there - new here .Wish I'd found you months ago. I'm busy working on our new garden from scratch and came across this little 'thing' about an inch long - can't seem to be able to identify it in any of my books - wondered if someone can tell me what it is - and whether it's good for the garden of not?

I've no idea LeppyMac, but then I'm the biggest bug-o-phobe you ever met! Sorry!
Hi LeppyMac, it's a ground beetle larvae, see following link (scroll down to find the right one)

PS: They eat slugs!
Fab - Thanks SwissSue - It seems it's one of the Calosoma Variety - Glad it's a good 'un too!
