Talkback: Saving calendula seed

i found this feature extremely useful as Ii already save seeds but am not aware of the large variety of seeds i could be saving!

    I am confused. If by nature these seeds would just drop of the plant and then grow into plants on their own, why would I need to go to all this trouble? Could I not just take them off the plant and throw them down where I want them to grow next year?

    As long as they are hardy plants you could do just that Katkin.

    And providing you think you'll know how to tell the difference between your much wanted flower seedlings and the seedlings of all the weeds that will be springing into life at the same time image
