Gardenia Crown Jewels

Can anyone advise please?  I treated myself to a hardy gardenia as I adore their fragrance. It is in a small pot in ericaceous compost but it is not thriving - possibly dying.  Help!

    I know this is from 4 years ago, but i am having just the same problems with my gardenia even though I have done everything the rhs suggests. So can anyone help? And sallya42, did your plant survive, or shall I give up on mine?

    Hi Carolann

    Mine died sadly. It ended up in the green bin.  I shan't bother again.
