rosemummyrosemummy Posts: 2,010

i planted 3 phlox last year in small pots and planted them out into border a couple of months ago all leaves look healthy, no buds,i seem to find a lot of this in my garden, and for someone who loves flowers and has little interest in foliage it's becoming rather irritating, can anyone help please?

Give it time rosemummy, mine are all foliage at the moment, and it's still a bit early for phlox really, but when they come they are worth the wait.

Its a bit early for phlox. They normally flower in August.  If they are growing well you should have flowers. You could give them a feed with a teaspoon of Phostrogen in a can of water if you are worried.

They are late flowerers, if you get rid of them, what else have you got that will flower through till autumn?

Rosemummy - I planted mine last year and they didn't flower although the leaf growth was healthy.  The plant has filled out a lot more this year and I'm hopeful I will get flowers.  Patience and optimism (definition of a gardener)image
