sick honeysuckle

Hi I have a summer flowering honeysuckle. It is two years old. Last year it flowered really well. This year it has grown well but I have noticed in the last week that the leaves look a little yellow and black and droppy also the flowers are very weak. I think its been getting sufficient water and not over watered. Any suggestions woudl be most welcome.

Yellowing is usually a sign that a plant isnt getting the food it needs, it might not be your feeding routine, it could be that the roots cant support the volume of growth made, is there any chance the roots have been damaged? Either way most honeysuckles are tough and will be back in good health next year. They do sometimes have a sulk when the weather gets warmer image

It's probably the beginnings of powdery mildew, which is the only thing honeysuckle suffer from. I'd drench it and give it a feed. It will recover quite quickly. As they are woodland plants give the roots some shade as well.
