Alternatives to chemical fungicide

Hi All,

I would really like to find a genuinely effective alternative to a chemical fungicide to combat powdery mildew. Apart from obvious benefits of going the non chemical route, I'd like to be able to find a cheap(er) way to mix up a useful concoction as and when I need it!

I'd be using it mainly on non edible plants but it would be great if it could be used on veg/fruit too.

I know I could google this but it's much nicer to get advice from people who have actually tried and tested themselves..!

Thanks in advance!

Thanks Chrissie, I will definitely make sure that I keep up the prevention side of things. It seems that the current weather conditions are contributing to the current 'outbreak' which is a little out of my control annoyingly!

I read last year that a full fat milk and water solution has been tested at vineyards to combat powdery mildew and works as well as other nonorganic chemical methods. I haven't tried it myself but sounds like an easy and cheap solution and certainly worth trying.

Thanks Netfella, that sounds really interesting and I will definitely be giving it a go!
