yuuuuk

Hello everyone please forgive if this has been shown before or if its in the wrong folder...Bought a growbag from Morrisons a couple of weeks ago for my cucumbers, this morning i noticed black ink spots on the leaves. On closer inspection these ink spots are coming from some clear shoots that are also growing in the bag.Any idea what these are and if they come in peace

looks a bit like a bean sprout - but then again so would sprouts from many large seeds. So it's not identifiable from that pic. You'd need to wait until there were some true leaves on the sprout before any chance of id.
There are often seeds in some composts.
Can you post a pic of the cucumber seedling with the spots?

Well your knowledge comes across! Sometimes its best to keep interests just for you, it can take the fun out of it to do it as work too image

  • I love moss! When you take the time to look at it, up close and personal, some of it is very pretty! Haven't ever a clue what moss I'm looking at, but I like looking at it and luckily for me I have plenty growing in my garden. Mostly where the grass should be image

    image Hello Heather,

I love moss too!  It grows in with my grass...I have a big problem walking, and this moss is so soft, so I leave it and love it!!

    Keep up the moss loving!

  • I will Chrissie, no option really since if I took the moss away I really would have bare ground there's so little grass left! image
