Pruning a large established camillia
Hi, first post here from somebody with a new found interest in gardening - so here is the first in what will probably be a string of dumb questions.
We have a quite large Camellia, no idea of age but 10ft plus tall and probably 7ft across, it's a magnificent plant that is smothered in gorgeous red flowers when it blooms but it now needs to be reduced a little.
Is it ok to just take some shears to it or should I just cut it a but more carefully with secateurs, I did it once before a few years ago but can't remember how I did it but it certainly did it no harm
