i have a large pot ( holds approx 30 litres compost ) by back door, this position is east facing, i have ; the president, ernest markham, hagley hybrid, which one would do best here? or do i need to think again? i've already planted nell moser in west facing fairly shady position, just over a foot away from my rambler rose and about 4 feet away from main trunk of fig tree will this be ok?

Nelly will cope, as long as you can provide enough water, as she will be competing with rose, and both need moist root run.
Both Ernest and the President should cope in partial shade.
I dont know anything about Hagley hybrid.
