Wight/brown blobs on hydrangea

The plant was my deceased grandma's so it means a lot to my mum and I.

    can you get a more focused picture we can look at? image

  • It looks like Hydrangea scale to me, treatable with chemical spray, like Bug Clear or Provado.

    Yes, definitely scale insects and almost certainly the one P&P mentions above.  RHS treatment advice here:

  • Thanks guys, really helpful image . there are a couple of dead leaves on the floor now covered in the things so I'll have to try some chemicals... Wish me luck image
