Double Arum Flower

My mother has several arum lillies growing very successfully, however one flower has appeared with two 'heads'. Has anyone else encountered this?

    Never seen that before image

    I've googled and there are a few images online - haven't found any attempts at explanation.

    the stem actually looks like two Siamese stems, bizarre but very striking

    Ah - it would seem to be an instance of fasciation

    There was a thread a few weeks ago about daffs doing this.  Happens in daisies too.
