  Indicator of poor, impoverished, badly-drained soil.  Sorry.  Does your garden need liming?  That usually discourages it.  Well it does on farmland!

  Rebecca, my garden is far from immaculate. OH calls me Jungle Jim, because he thinks I'm not " tidy" enough.

  I imagined you to have all neat and tidy rows! I like gardens that are a bit eclectic, more interesting
