Shy butts

Morning all image I have two bog standard green plastic waterbutts on hard standing being fed from the house roof that are shy and are begging to be hidden. How do you hide yours? Photos if possible for inspiration please.

Hi Haylar. I think lots of people use  pots full of different planting if the water butt's on hard ground - a couple of big pots with sweet peas or shrubs should suffice. You could also rig up a simple screen with trellis or that reed/bamboo stuff using those metal holders which bolt onto paving.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

My clever mom has painted hers black, it really dissapears, especially with something planted infront of it.

Another idea is to stand it in a large planter, this way you dont need a stand and you can plant around it image

Please post pics when you do decide what to do

My water butts are largely 'hidden' behind the 5' high potato haulm on Pink Fir Apple tubers sown quite late this spring! Otherwise a hardy shrub like lilac helps as the foliage spreads quite freely.
