Sick tree

Hello

Can someone tell me what disease is this tree suffering from, I hope you can tell from the photos what the tree is as im afraid I don't know, thanks in advance.

I cant seem to attach photos, any ideas?

    Is this not verticillium wilt - just cut out diseased bits and the rest should be ok

    Thanks very much for the replies, the problem is that this tree is shedding leaves likes its Autumn, the pavement, driveway etc is covered in fallen leaves like the above photo, so cutting out isn't really possible as its a pretty big tree, does anyone what this tree is by the way?

    Thanks for your reply, but I must confess I have no idea what tree it is, as the property is rented and the tree is at least 30 years old and the landlord doesn't know either.

    But to my untrained eye it does look diseased and a bit limp and lifeless and it is the only tree in the road shedding its leaves. Thanks again
